Many foreign tourists come to Kagoshima-Chuo Station by Shinkansen (bullet-train) after arriving at Fukuoka or Kansai airport (Osaka). Shinkansen SAKURA is very convenient and fast to visit Kagoshima.

Shinkansen SAKURA
There are 2 kinds of Shinkansen to reach Kagoshima.
1st Shinkansen is called SAKURA (literally means “cherry blossoms””). It starts from the Shin-Osaka Station.
2nd Shinkansen is called TSUBAME (literally means “swallow tale”). It starts from the Hakata Station. TSUBAME is slower than SAKURA but stops at every station between the Hakata Station and the Kagoshima-Chuo Station.
It takes only 4 hours between the Kagoshima-Chuo Station and the Shin-Osaka Station.
There is another Shinkansen called “TSUBAME” between Hakata and Kagoshima.
Kagoshima-Chuo Station
Kagoshima-Chuo Station is the final stop of Shinkansen (Bullet-train ).
The station is the center of transportation in Kagoshima.
