The ferry runs between Kagoshima CIty and Sakurajima in every 15 minutes for 24 hours. It is convenient to take the ferry to go to Sakurajima Island or Osumi Peninsula. Sometimes I take the ferry to enjoy driving at Osumi Peninsula at weekends, but many people use the ferry to go to their workplacs.

Memorial photo at the shop
The noodles are cooked up very quickly. I ordered Tsukimi Soba on the left of the following picture while my wife’s sister ordered Kake Soba on the right. (Kake Soba has Satsuma-age inside)
The taste is simple but I like it and eat it every time I take the ferry.
Following photo is the Onigiri and Inari. Please eat those rice balls if the amount of the noodles is not enough for you.
Broth soup of noodles are sold at the store. (150 yen for 1 pack).
I am satisfied!
I had noodles at the outside deck on a different day.
You can also buy some snacks and souvenirs at the shop of the Sakurajima Ferry. 🙂
Scenery from Top Deck
It is also nice to go up to the top deck of the ferry and enjoy watching great scenery. The ocean wind over the deck is really comfortable.
I am waving hands toward another Sakurajima ferry at the top deck.
View of Mt. Sakurajima from the top deck.
Sunset View
We took the ferry at the sunset time.
Beautiful sunset is going down to the horizon over Kagoshima City.
Sunset was very beautiful. I felt like smoking a cigarette but gave up my mind, because my wife disliked the smell of smoke.
Actress
My wife’s sister was watching the sunset over Kagoshima City.
Ferry at Night
Sakurajima ferry is coming from the opposite direction with the night view of Kagoshima City as its background.
