How to Get to Kumamoto Greenland
Greenland is located in the northern part of Kumamoto Prefecture.
We departed from Kagoshima around noon the day before.
Here are two recommended RV parks around Greenland:
- RV Park Smart Saikou no Yu
- RV Park Smart Kusamakura Onsen Tensui
Near RV Park Smart Saikou no Yu, there are fishing ponds and go-karts where children can have fun. Additionally, since it’s close to Kumamoto Greenland, it is recommended if the weather is good. However, in our case, the weather was not good, so there was a possibility that we might not be able to enjoy the fishing pond and go-karts, so we decided to head to RV Park Smart Kusamakura Onsen Tensui.
It takes about 40 minutes by car from Kusamakura Onsen Tensui to Kumamoto Greenland.
Enjoy Kumamoto Greenland!
It was great that large vehicles like camper vans can be parked close to the entrance.
For our cabin-type camper van, the parking fee (for medium-sized vehicles) was 1,000 yen.
It’s a good idea to carry extra cash. We hoped to use electronic money like at Disney Resort, but about half of the shops at that time did not accept cards or electronic money.
The boys were very excited to see the Kamen Rider attraction!
There are many thrilling attractions, and I think adults will enjoy them too.
People spinning at such a high place!?
Of course, small children can also enjoy it. Here is a classic carousel.
It’s convenient to have stroller rentals (500 yen).
We bounced a lot on the trampoline!
There are many playgrounds that even preschool children can enjoy.
