There is an important oil storage base in Kagoshima, Japan.
Those tanks contains oil necessary to Japan for 2 weeks.
Many oil tankers from other countries such as Arab Emirates.
This base faces Kagoshima Bay and you can see a nice view of Sakurajima and sailing big tankers.
IMPORTANCE of KIIRE BAISE
If oil are imported by many small ships, importing costs are expensive.
But you can get discounts by using big oil tankers with huge capacities.
This base facility can take oils from big tankers.
About 70% of tankers coming to Japan concentrates on this base.
This oil storage can play an important role in the case of urgent changes in social condition.
