Model Course
9:00 Depart from Kagoshima
Board the ferry at Kamoike Port. Enjoy a 45-minute boat ride.
Let’s enjoy the stunning views of Sakurajima and the local specialty udon!♪
10:00 Arrive at Tarumizu Port, Depart for Uchinoura via Kanoya
Enjoy about an hour and a half drive.
11:30 Lunch at “Amimoto”
Let’s savor the fresh fish from Uchinoura!♪
13:00-13:30 Uchinoura Coast
This is just a few minutes drive from Amimoto.
Take a stroll along the beach to refresh your spirits☆ (Swimming prohibited)
13:40 Uchinoura Space Observatory
This is a proud space observatory of Japan!
Admission is free, so it’s a must-visit spot when you’re in Uchinoura.
Visiting times at the observatory vary for everyone.
From here, I will just explain the required times.

Since we have the chance, shall we take a little detour on the way back?♪
About 30 minutes from Uchinoura Space Observatory, “Todoroki Waterfall” in Kimotsuki Town
This is a magnificent waterfall with three tiers!
There are rumors that “Ittan Momen,” which appears in “GeGeGe no Kitaro,” can be spotted here.
30 minutes by car from Todoroki Waterfall♪ “Chocolate House COCORO” in Kanoya City
How about some sweets during the drive?
Chocolate House COCORO offers chocolates, crepes, soft serve ice cream, and baked goods.
There are benches inside for dining in, so you might want to use them☆
It’s a sweets shop that is open until 8 PM, which is very convenient!♪
About 40 minutes from “Chocolate House COCORO” to Tarumizu Port☆
From Tarumizu Port, you’ll board the Tarumizu ferry again.
Eating hot udon on the ferry is also recommended!♪
