Kotsuki River
When it comes to appreciating cherry blossoms in Kagoshima Prefecture, Kotsuki River, 、Yoshino Park、Hirakawa Zoo are popular.
Today my family visited the Kotsuki River near Kagoshima Chuo Station.
It was sunny and very good for appreciating cherry blossoms.
We parked our car at the parking lot as shown in the following picture.
The parking lot is free but you can park for 2 hours. If you are going to park the car longer, please use the nearby coin parking lot.

The bridge on the left side of the above picture is called Nanshu Bridge. Nanshu is the another name of Saigo Takamori, who contributed to the Meiji Restoration.
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Many people enjoy appreciating cherry blossoms at weekend.
My 1-year-old daughter saw cherry blossom for the first time in her life. She looks delighted!
Weather is lovely.
Flower petals of cherry blossoms are flowing on wind. It is very beautiful.
It must be pleasant to lay on the lawn in such a good weather.

Sightseeing Rickshaw
We met a handsome guy in front of Meiji Restoration Museum.
Riding rickshaw will make your travel more joyfull.
The price of the rickshaw is only 1,000 yen for 10 minutes.
According to the rickshaw staff, the best corse is Kotsuki River→Terukuni Shrine→Tsurumaru Castle→Water Front→Tenmonkan Street→Kotsuki River.
During cherry blossom season in Spring, many people use the rickshaw to come the bank of Kotsuki River or to return to Kagoshima Chuo Station.
Another rickshaw stays at Terukuni Shrine. Rickshay can also take you to Senganen Park.
